Venom The Last Dance Weekend estimated at $175 million, 30 cr in India

Venom The Last Dance Weekend box office:

Tom Hardy's Venom The Last Dance was looking for a $180 million opening weekend at the global box office but has fallen a little short of those expectations. The film earned approx. $8.5 million in previews and $22 million on Friday at the North American box office. The opening weekend at the U.S. box office is estimated to be around $51 million gross.

Venom 3 has done better internationally, with $124 million gross, powered by $46 million from China alone. The previous film, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, didn't get a China release, and that's why Venom was able to surpass its global weekend. The worldwide haul for the black superhero flick is at $175 million approx., which is fairly decent for its budget of $120 million despite dismal performance at the domestic market.

The Last Dance has fared decently in India, with the Hindi-dubbed version contributing the most to its weekend total. The film has crossed the 30 crore gross mark (approx. $3.55 million) in the opening weekend, which many Bollywood/Indian films failed to do this year. Even an underperforming Hollywood superhero film doing better than 95% of Bollywood films is a warning bell for sure! Lack of Bollywood releases made it easy for the film, though.

Directed by Kelly Marcell, the film stars Tom Hardy, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Alanna Ubach, and Stephen Graham. It is directed by Kelly Marcel from a screenplay she wrote, based on a story by Hardy and Marcel. The film is produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, Kelly Marcel, Tom Hardy, and Hutch Parker.
