Thalapathy Vijay To Launch His Own Policial Party, To Be The Party President; Reports

Vijay, aka Thalapathy Vijay, is one of the most popular superstars in the Tamil cinema industry. The actor, who is among the highest-paid actors in India and has featured in Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list on seven occasions, is now getting up for his political journey.

Reportedly, Vijay will soon be joining politics. He will launch his own party and has been elected as the party president by the other members. Sources inform that around 200 members of the party's general council attended a meeting ahead of the registration and will soon make the official announcement of the same.

As per a report in NDTV, Vijay's party is in the process of registering their political party with the Election Commission of India. The embers had a meeting with the election commissioner and are working on the paper work.

On the timeline of the events, a source revealed to NDTV, "He (Vijaya) will enter politics ahead of the 2026 state polls in Tamil Nadu. The name will definitely have Kazhagam in it, keeping in line with traditions in Tamil Nadu."
