WGA Ends Stike

WGA, aka Writers Guild of America, has finally ended the strike after 150 days. The decision came after the meeting with AMPTP (Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers), as the two parties shook hands.

The WGA shared on Twitter, "The WGA reached a tentative agreement with the AMPTP. Today, our Negotiating Committee, WGAW Board, and WGAE Council all voted unanimously to recommend the agreement. The strike ends at 12:01 a.m. Check out our deal at wgacontract2023.org/deal. #WGAStrong"

As mentioned in the article, the Negotiating Committee, the WGAW Board, and the WGAE Council all voted unanimously to recommend the agreement.

It also states that the WGAW Board and WGAE Council voted to end the strike as of 12:01 am PT/3:01 am ET on Wednesday, September 27th. This allows writers to return to work during the ratification process but does not affect the membership’s right to make a final determination on contract approval.
