In the same category, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Abundance in Millets was nominated but lost to Pashto. The hon. PM had collaborated with Indian-American singers Falu and Gaurav Shah for this special feature, which was released in June to celebrate the “International Year of Millets.”.
The other nominees in the said category included Arooj Aftab, Vijay Iyer, and Shahzad Ismaily for Shadow Forces, Burna Boy for Alone, Davido for Feel, Silvana Estrada for Milagro Y Disastre, Bela Fleck, Ibrahim Maalouf featuring Cimafunk and Tank, and the Bangas for Todo Colores.
Zakir Hussain, who won a total of 3 Grammys on Sunday night, shared, "Thanks to the Academy, thanks to all these great musicians for giving us beautiful music, and our deepest thanks to our families. Without them, we are nothing. Without love, without music, without harmony, we are nothing."
