Aarya Season 3 Review: Sushmita Sen and Ram Madhvani are back with the third season of their acclaimed series, "Aarya". Based on the Dutch series "Penoza," Aarya has been a revolution for a female-centric web series in India, especially in this genre. Crime and gangster genres are always known for male characters, but Aarya changed that for us. Even though it didn't reach any classic level, it sparked enough fire to be known as a good crime thriller where the leading lady is nothing less than a roaring lioness. With Season 3, things haven't changed much. A common perception says that a web series starts looking boring after 20 episodes, but Aarya continues roaring. We get 4 episodes in the first slate of season 3, while the rest of the episodes will come later. That's a new trend in the OTT world, just to stretch the audience's excitement, and it's really working (IMO). What you see in these 4 episodes of Aarya S3 is enough to leave you excited, eager, and wanting more for the next episodes. Aarya Season 3 delivers a solid crime thriller yet again.Aarya Season 3 ReviewAarya (Sushmita Sen) is still trying to save her family from Sooraj (Indraneil Sengupta), who is on a killing spree as a part of the revenge of his wife's murder by Maya (Maya Sarao) and Aarya. He keeps following Aarya's family members and tries to destroy Aarya and her business. He manages to do it to some level as he succeeds in one or two things, but then Aarya has to level things again. On the other hand, ACP Younus Khan (Vikas Kumar) is trying everything to catch Aarya red-handed, and this time he also succeeds in grabbing a hold of drugs worth Rs. 1000 crore, which Aarya has to smuggle for Russian drug dealers. Aarya now has to get back the consignment, and at the same time, she has to save her family members from Sooraj. How will she manage it?Aarya Season 3 ReviewThe first episode of Aarya S3 starts on a slow note but eventually ends on a strong and thrilling note. The same goes with the second episode, which offers more thrills and twists. The third episode makes things even better, while the fourth one is the best among them all. What Aarya S3 does is that it gives you enough content in every episode rather than wasting time setting plots for upcoming episodes. Usually what happens is that we have to wait for a good ending for almost 4 hours, and that somewhat takes your interest away, but Aarya S3 is an exception. That's the power of a good screenplay. You have so many good pieces in your writing that you can divide them into different episodes, line up perfectly, and make things extremely engaging. The third season of Aarya does that, and that's why it comes out as a fine watch. A few damn cliches are there, and they were expected, but they don't harm much.Aarya Season 3 ReviewSushmita Sen as Aarya is definitely a performance to remember. She is raw, rough, and very scratchy. She makes you believe in the character even though you know that she is playing a character that's supposed to have negative shades. Of course, you can't glorify a gangster or a criminal, but you can have sympathy for a mother. Sushmita gets into the skin of that mother instead of making the female don look deadly. Yes, you don't have to feel anything for her, but you just have to enjoy seeing her do all things and then coming back home to be helpless and thread in front of her children. Indraneil Sengupta delivers a cracker of a performance, while Vikas Kumar shines as ACP again. Maya Sarao has fewer scenes compared to the previous season, but much better ones. Vishwajeet Pradhan is like water. He flows with the stream of his character so easily and calmly. The new don, the bigger one, Nalini (Ila Arun), presents herself as a formidable and upper-level personality, like a boss (lady). Geetanjali Kulkarni, Shweta Parischa, Virti Vaghani, Aarushi Bajaj, Pratyaksh Panwar, and others have done pretty well in the supporting roles.Aarya Season 3 ReviewAarya Season 3 gets good support from the technical team. The cinematography is fine, the background score works occasionally, and the editing is very nice. I would have loved to hear some more dhaasu dialogues. "Ye Kahaani jitni nayi lagti hai, utni hi purani hai"— that was the best one, but I had to wait till the climax of Volume 1 of season 3 for that. Created by Ram Madhvani, Aarya's world is equally good in the third season. What I liked the most about it was that they didn't run the entire season on one big topic. In 4 episodes, you get to see multiple topics and conflicts colliding with each other that form a wholesome viewing experience. The idea of keeping the audience hooked with new scenes and events in each episode is the best thing about Aarya S3. You want to see more because they promise you something new in each episode. It's like dividing a long web series into two miniseries. With Volume 1 offering so much, I can't wait for Volume 2 of Season, as I believe they have much more in store. It's not even half of what they showed in the trailer, so yes, I'm in for volume 2. Bring it ASAP.
